do you mean in europe or US, now? as said before, for at least austria
and germany, copying music cds and videos for personal use (this
includes giving away to friends) is perfectly legal. the same applies to
downloading mp3s from internet. i have made my mp3 collection available
on web and give away useraccounts to friends for downloading. this
brings up an interesting question. is swapping mp3s via filesharing
network illegal, when i call my peer a friend?
