[vdr] Re: Distributed VDR

me too.
The main problem is, that you can not use the timer menu in your "slave"
system, because the "master"-VDR will not notify changes in the timers file
that are done by "external" file access. So you have no chance for timeshift
records, and all timer programming has to be done on the "master"-vdr.

@Klaus: Please correct me, if I misunderstood something...

I like to vote for such an command-line-option.
Is this a big change in the code  / or your concept of vdr?
Are there more people who can imagine to have such an hardware-configuration
with two machines?
