I have the same problem and I was thinking to this solution.
Mi first PC is a Tbird 1.2 Ghz (fast enough to decode DIVX).
I was trying to realtime decode the DIVX to MPEG format and read it with
Mplayer using my LAN connection.
The problem is that I cannot find a tool to convert fastly the DIVX into
MPEG :(
Quite strange because, while watching, the DIVX decoder does a realtime
conversion so it could be possible.

Ideas?
