Yes. The current implementation of the RCU and LIRC remote controls
will be made a plugin-aware interface.

For the moment you could try calling

  Interface->PutKey(k);

as is done in the SVDRP 'HITK' command. This may result in a somewhat
sluggish response, but at least it should work.

@Stefan.Hagendorn: maybe this can be an intermediate solution for you, too?
