Looks like standard mplayer.sh with "forced" codec ?

Try letting mplayer itself decide what codec it should use.
E.g. try to call mplayer without options, or change your mplayer.sh
like this (at least temporarily):

Comment out the "use this codec" lines:


# exec $MPLAYER $OPTS -vc $VC "$FILE" </dev/zero
exec $MPLAYER $OPTS "$FILE"
