Hi,

I did som test with STR and it never wake up properly.
After reading allot i found out that STR will never work under 2.4.x kernel.
If you got 2.5.x kernel ther is a chance for it, if your computer has ACPI.

But there is hibernate for 2.4.x kernel, suspend to disk called swsusp.

My swap partitions is to small for me to try it out.
I waiting for a 2.5 kernel that has stable LVM.

no there is no power to fans, only for the ram and devices that 
can/will/suppose to wake up the machine.
