[vdr] Re: Watching recordings in windows

I prefer DS.JAR from http://home.arcor.de/matt2/dvb.matt as this one is
also able to handle VDR records with AC3 sound etc.. DS.JAR is just a
demuxing and synchronisation tool, muxing or even DVD authoring still
has to be done with other tools. If you just want to mux the M2V with
MP2 sound, the "MPEG tools" of TMPGEnc might work. If you use a DVD
authoring tool that can handle M2V, MP2/MPA and/or AC3, I better
recommend to multiplex it with this tool. VirtualDub just works for AVI
files.

Transcoding needs to be done like DVD copying e.g. with DVD2AVI,
VFAPIRC, VirtualDub, TMPGEnc etc. - look for guides in Windows-DVB or
-DVD websites like www.dvbforum.de or www.doom9.org.
