Yes, I am aware of this site, but usually (at least the HiFi
components I know of (or have ;o)) do not use an  isolation
xfmr in the coax circuitry. No PC card (be it DVB or sound
card, etc) has a seperate (isolated) ground for coax or SP/DIF.
This is where manufactures save money, as you would need
a ferrit xfmr, a couple of caps and a driver IC. Okay, it only
costs cents, but multiply that by a few 10 thousand and now
you know why manufacturers don't do it ;o))

I have a huge junk box (okay more than one ;o)) with
scavenged parts, like most electronics freaks do.

Of course, if one has none handy, I didn't mean to suggest
to kill a 300 Euro CD or DVD player just to get at the
TOTX module ;o))
