[vdr] Keyboard does not work in Background with 1.1.20

Hi,

trying to run vdr from a commandline with:

vdr  --terminal=/dev/tty1 -w 60 -v /video0 -c /video0/vdr-1.1 -Psc 
-P"mplayer -M /video0/vdr-1.1/plugins/mplayer.sh" -Pmp3

lets me control vdr from a IR-keyboard, even though the command is
issued via ssh (like expected).

What do i have to do in a runvdr-script that gets executed in the
background (like runvdr 2>&1 >/var/log/runvdr.out& )

that gives me control to the keyboard? Adding a -d to the options does 
not help.

Any ideas?

Hope this has not been discussed already. A quick search did not find 
anything useful
