[vdr] Mplayer Probs

Hi all,

I never managed to get Mplayer working with VDR ;o(
Maybe someone has an idea. 

Mplayer in itself works. I.e. if I say stream VDR to Mplayer
via the streaming plugin it shows the movie w/o a hitch on
my pc monitor (i.e on X). But if I try to replay a vdr movie
(or a divx film) on my TV (i.e over the DVB card) via Mplayer
the  screen shortly goes black, mplayer appears very briefly on
my PC monitor and that's all. No replay possible. I have tried
a lot of versions including the latest rc3. They all show the
same behavior.

I do include the DVB drivers with the extradir command and
during configure it also finds everything (DVB drivers, win32
codecs, etc) I tried both slave and traditonal methods of
controlling mplayer. No results. I also tried including enable
gui. There are no errors during compling or making an install.
Just a few warnings. Nothing seems to help.

Sometimes the main menu of VDR shows a "stop replay", but
not always. I haven't found a way to be able to reproduce this
everytime. The taskmanager also shows no thread of mplayer
running.

I also receive no error messages (my user defines are nolirc
& slave) in either the VDR tty or in /log/messages. 

I also tried various scripts that are floating around. None of
these change the behavior of Mplayer. The mplayer.sh &
conf files are in my video directory (and mplayer finds
them)

In VDR tty mplayer tells me the resolution and that it has
found everything it needs.

messages tells me the resolution of the movie and if its non
DVB compliant, it also says scaling to xyz. However, after
these info messages the next thing messages tells me is the
name of the current film on the tv (and of course the tv shows
the live tv movie) Absolutely no errors. I am sort of out of
ideas what else to try ;o))
