Which manual do you have?  Is there an official manual with description
about J2?  Never seen that.  In my manual for DVB-S 1.3 there is
something about

   `future use'

... OK for late cards with official S/P-DIF support I guess that the
signal level around 0.5V

Maybe your receiver can handle it.  Nevertheless I wouldn't try this
with mine ... and to have the SetTopBox ^H^H^H PC disconnected from
my receiver I'm using an optical S/P-DIF connection.
