I think the 'noise' you call it can only be reduced if a detailed FAQ is 
given for most common problems. 
I agree that many questions (mine, too) can be answered by ready old threads, 
but the answers are hard to find sometimes.
RTFM is a good example: ProSieben dolby digital apids... in Manual there is 
explained that you have to setup 'record dolbydigital' in the vdr setup-menu.
but it is not saying that you also have to adapt your channel.conf file, and 
give the appropriate apid's seperately. 
Shouldn't we generate a thing like "The-VDR-FAQ-alliance"?
