that's near to trivial - you need:

 - gcc - a c-compiler
 - maybe "libc" ... dont know yet ...
 - a nice editor like "vi" or better "ed" or even "cat"
 - a wire between your "sat receiver" and your VDR

 now you are ready to rumble:

 /home/Hermann/> ed "lirc_tunes_the_analog_sat_receiver.c"

   ... here you have to press some "Buchstabentasten", maybe sometimes
       the "Leertaste" ...

finished!
