Kai, I think I learned something today...  (couldn't resist)

After checking out the latest CVS for em8300 (well, it is about 5 month 
old...) and patching it, I have finally a working DXR3 that never ever 
crashed (and I did massive testings). 
Still I had to force the patch, so my question:
For what driver Version is the patch that is included in the DXR3 
package?

And the mplayer-plugin still doesn't work with the DXR3!

I can't switch my sources. As soon as I try to switch the source, the 
device (DXR3) is released and I have no chance to select my file I want 
to play. 

So the older version (1.7) was releasing the driver to early (mplayer 
coudn't use the DXR3) and now it is releasing the DXR3 too early (so I 
have no chance to select a diffrent source)... 
Right now I have to use the OLD dxr3 and apply the patch (changing 
play...  to Play)...
