Hi Klaus,

I've made a few tests to help you to resolve the timeshift problem.

MY CONFIGURATION
Hardware 
- Motherboard ABIT KA7 (chipset KX133) with Athlon 600 MHz slot A
- 300 MB of RAM
- one dvb-nexus v2.1
- Two dishes (for Hot-Bird and Astra) and one Diseqc swith.

Software
- Linux Mandrake 9.1
- no LIRC, only keyboard.
- all VDR tested are plain-vanilla (with VFAT=1)

CONDITIONS OF TESTS
- All tests are made on FTA channels.
- I've tried timeshifting about 10 times for each test.
  

RESULTS

Test 1 : 
vdr-1.1.29 + dvblinux 2003-27-04
=> timeshifting is OK.

Test 2 :
vdr-1.1.30 + dvblinux 2003-27-04
=> timeshifting is OK.

Test 3 :
vdr-1.1.31 + dvblinux 2003-27-04
=> timeshifting is OK.

Test 4 :
vdr-1.1.32 + dvblinux 2003-27-04
=> non nok nok OK nok OK OK OK nok OK

Test 5 :
vdr-1.1.33 + dvblinux 2003-27-04
=> OK OK OK nok OK nok OK OK nok nok 

Test 6 :
vdr-1.1.31 + dvblinux 2003-24-05
=> timeshifting is OK.

Test 7 :
vdr-1.1.33 + dvblinux 2003-24-05
=> nok nok nok nok nok OK nok nok


It seems that the pb appears since vdr-1.1.32.

Strange... I tried this like 10 times now (with version 1.1.33)
and it didn't happen.

Can you reproduce this any time?
Are there any special conditions that might be different on our
two systems?

Can anybody else reproduce this?
