[vdr] Re: early shutdown after unattended recording?

AFAIK VDR normaly does exactly what you want. It does here in my
configuration.
If none touches the remote and nothing uses the same commands via SVDRP then
VDR should shutdown afterwards.

I actually asked a week ago for a way to do it the other way around (like
you have got it).

Once a day I am recording the news and short time afterwards I want to watch
it so at that time I want VDR to stay on/up. BTW. this is how is solved it.
In the script what is executed before and after recrding I have inserted a
bit of code which looks at the filename and if it is the news i send a
command  via SVDRP so that VDR stays up.

Maybe something like that is done in your configuration too.
