IMHO vdr needs to be modified in a way that all times are based on UTC,
not local time. All internal calculations *and* timers.conf should be
UTC-based. Local time should only appear at the user interface.
Maybe this could be done in 1.3.x?

Of course this will only help if TV stations manage to produce correct
EPG info. Everyone should double-check all timers tonight!

For example, the RTL dumm^Wgurus transmit the following EPG info:
26.10. 02:51 Bezaubernde Dschinni! ACHTUNG! Korrekte Sendezeit ist 02:15 !
26.10. 02:53 Pentagramm - Die Macht des Bösen ACHTUNG! Korrekte Sendezeit ist 02:35 !

ROTFL
