Ralf,

do you use a Toshiba DVD-ROM Drive ? I have a SD-M1612 and current versions of 
libdvdcss can't read encrypted DVDs with this drive. This behaviour is a 
known bug, take a look at the Bugzilla repository of libdvdcss. The library 
interface has changed  ( as far as i know ) since 0.1 ( which works with my 
hardware an vdr 1.0.4 with DVD patch ). Maybe a backport of the DVD plugin is 
possible, but its not that important for me.
