My vdr 1.2.6 crashs with BR-alpha EPG data. After reboot it complains that an entry in timer.conf (the BR-alpha entry) has an invalid channel. I found out that in my epg.data there are two entries for BR-alpha one is
S19.2E-1-1101-28112 BR-alpha (the bad one) and
S19.2E-0-11837-28112 BR-alpha (the good one)

I removed all bad entries in epg.data and fixed my timer.conf file. After this I could restart vdr.
This morning I checked my epg.data and the bad entries were back again.
