[vdr] Re: Vdr plugins vs Gentoo
your gentoo emerge semms broken, to verify go to the plugins source folder
an type "make all", if that builds the correct .so file report it to the
emerge maintainer.

Hello everybody,
I'm running Gentoo with 2.4.20 kernel. I've just installed vdr 1.2.6 and it
works(without any plugins). Now I want to add some plugins to vdr. As I did
for vdr, I get the first plugin(streamdev-0.2.0)by emerging it. When I run
vdr -P streamdev -d
vdr crashes. I get 3 log messages(tail -f /var/log/messages):
1) troy vdr[8316]: VDR version 1.2.6 started
2) troy vdr[8316]: loading plugin:./PLUGINS/lib/libvdr-streamdev.so.1.2.6
3)troy vdr[8316]: ERROR: ./PLUGINS/lib/libvdr-streamdev.so.1.2.6: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory
I have to say that I have previously installed vrd + streamdev on Slackware
and all works...
Running Gentoo I can't find the PLUGINS directory where the plugins have to
be..
The only shared object I have found is libvdr-streamdev.so.0.2.0(and a
symbolic link to it named libvdr-streamdev.so)under /usr/lib/vdr.
Have I missed something?
Please, help me!!! Thanks in advance,
Samuele
