Again, i'm nou sure that the epia can boot from the compact flash card at
all.
Do check that on the epia related forums on via's website.

Yes. vieuwing is a task of the CPU or mpeg hardware decoder and display
processor.
Recording more a mater for the harddrive :-)

Choose a jouranling file type as ReiserFS or EXT3 , it is crash proof.
Well, there are limits but a sudden power failure is no problem for a
jopuranling type file system.
