oh, i really would be happy to have that option. for me computers
have been allways "english" ;-) and i hate non 7bit ascii characters in
filenames. i cannot understand why having a compiler flag can do any
harm, even for packege maintainers. there is a default anyway - nobody
is forced to change that.
