I do use one of these switches. In fact, I am using what is a known as a
legacy quad lnb, which looks like two lnb's side by side in a single housing
with 4 cable outputs (each of which can be set to carry the signal from
either lnb) so the switch is built into the lnb.

I have been having these issues for a week, even before I installed the
legacy quad yesterday. Until that point, I did not have the S commands in
my diseqc.conf, but I was having the exact same issue.

The issue I am having is not with the switching on the lnb, but rather with
other ports on the diseqc switch.

When I attempt to switch to a channel on S82.0W, the diseqc switch switches
the port, and I am able to receive the signal for about 4-5 seconds before
it switches back to port 1.

I could understand it not switching at all because of a wrong command or bum
switch, but this does switch, it just decides to lose that setting after a
few seconds. I have 3 different diseqc switches in the house (2 spacelab, 1
dms international), one of which I have been using for over a year at the
other end of the house without any problems whatsoever, however when I place
them on this system that I am having an issue with, they all react the same
way, switching to port 3 for 4-5 seconds then switching away.

If I stop the vdr process, set the current channel in the setup.conf to a
channel on S82 (port 3) and restart vdr, I can view that channel for as long
as I want, until the first command goes to the diseqc switch. From that
point on, any attempts to switch back to those channels results in only 4-5
seconds on it.

sk.
