BTW2. any suggestions are welcome

Is there anything special about acpi-wakeup?
As far as I know nvram-wakeup has been doing this for quite a while and supports varios mainboards.
As far as I know, acpi-wakeup uses a standard ACPI command to program the BIOS, which is much wider supported as nvram-wakeup's way which needs to be adopted to mostly any new mainboard (and BIOS revision).

Anyway, my nvram-wakup setup finally runs after some testing and BIOS-upgrading. :-)

But I will keep in mind this tool for my next vdr hardware setup!
