[vdr] Re: hollywood plus - worth to buy?

I use SkyStar2. To see picture on screen I need to use vdr-xine (or

money.

My question is - how well it works on monitor (not on TV)? Is it worth to buy
Hollywood Plus and use it with SkyStar2 to watch television on monitor?

I have a dxr3 clone. VGA overlay didn't work properly last time when tried it (about two years ago, but it might better now). It also blurs the video output of VGA card that is very annoying in desktop usage. For me it's not a problem because I use S-VHS output only in a dedicated vdr box.

Is it working like old Voodoo1 card - monitor shows picture from one card _or_
another?
What about quality? Will it be worse than in xine?
What about performance? Will it work like with hardware DVB card?

Excluding VGA overlay it is quite nice & reliable nowadays thanks to work by Christian Gmeiner.
