[vdr] hollywood plus - worth to buy?

I use SkyStar2. To see picture on screen I need to use vdr-xine (or
vdr-softdevice). I read about vdr-dxr3 and I can buy Hollywood Plus for small
money.

My question is - how well it works on monitor (not on TV)? Is it worth to buy
Hollywood Plus and use it with SkyStar2 to watch television on monitor?

Is it working like old Voodoo1 card - monitor shows picture from one card _or_
another? 

What about quality? Will it be worse than in xine? 

What about performance? Will it work like with hardware DVB card?
