can I display VDR output on a CRT monitor or LCD panel ?
i.e. no real TV, no TV-out connector.
Use either the softdevice plugin or the xine plugin.
Or xineliboutput
Argh : what's this one ???
Googling didn't locate much documentation about it : what's the
difference between xineliboutput and xine-plugin ?
The readme only says : "Simple X11 front-end for VDR (displays OSD and
video in raw X/Xv window)"
* "simple" : not xine-ui, like xine-plugin uses ?
* "raw" : without window manager ?
Also : "Support for frame buffer and remote frontends not working."
Does this means that it could use frame-buffer output instead of X/Xv ?
DirectFB output ?
In that case, how would it differenciate from softdevice (apart of using
Xine instead of a lighweight internal stream manager) ?
