[vdr] Re: DVD playback from hard-disk?

Thanks for the tips (Herbert and Matthias).

I'd like to try out dvdselect, but as far as I can see, the dvd plugin
only works with VDR 1.3? I'm currently on 1.2.6, but I'll be brave and
try a compile of 1.3. :)

Does the dvdselect plugin only work with ISO images of DVDs? I can copy
DVDs with 'vobcopy -m' and then make an iso of the result, I guess, but
is that necessary?

A couple more questions:

- mplayer can't navigate DVDs, is that right?

- xine can't output to DVB, is that right?

Cheers,

Matt
