[vdr] what happens at 4:20 AM?

Hi,
about once a week, my vdr system freezes completely. I can't move the  
mouse, no reaction on ctrl-alt-del nor on ctrl-alt-F1. The disk is working  
all the time (sounds like swapping) and gkrellm shows that the memory is  
completely used. This only happens when running vdr and the KDE clock  
always shows the same time: 4:20 in the morning. What does vdr do at this  
time? How can I avoid this?
