"you have to remove it after usage" means VDR needs to be adapted to that 
firmware?

Wow, that would be really great as this is a long awaited fix. I am currently 
testing this out with your 0.9 firmware.
I have no AC3 setup but i am curious about these new "features" ;). Is there 
any chance that these fixes will be in the next "regular" firmware release on 
linuxtv.org?
