[vdr] Re: VDR and LCD-TV

I also have a Epia-M 6000 (all passive cooled), with a Rev. 1.6 board.

Probably yes, I have a RGB cable connected to an old 'standard' tv. excellent
quality with RBG. But I don't know if it is sufficient enough for a high
quality LCD display..

hm, never tried the onboard VGA.. but should provide real good quality on an
LCD display.

haven't tried softdecoding with my Epia so far. it is on my to-do list... :)

Now, here I can help you ! You can double the amount of PCI slots using a
Riser-card. I got one at ebay for some Euros. The Riser card provides two
PCI-slots at a 90 degrees angle to the onboard PCI slot. You can imagine it
like an 'F'. So the question does not become obsolete indeed.

The Epia-M is already your friend. I even use a passively cooled PSU with
it...

Please keep us updated once you achieved your goals.
