[linux-dvb] Air2PC-ATSC and QAM

I am using Air2PC-ATSC with stock Mandrake 2.6.10 kernel and the latest
dvb-kernel drivers from CVS built outside the kernel.

The card works great with OTA (ATSC). I can record using dvbstream or
the cat dvr0 method. Even MythTV works with it.

However I can't get it to work with QAM (cable).

For azap I am using the config file from
http://www.digitalregime.com/patches/channels.conf-qam

Using this I can get a lock on several channels, e.g.:

[congo:/home/mythtv] azap -c ~/.azap/channels.conf-qam C90
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
tuning to 585000000 Hz
video pid 0x0000, audio pid 0x0000
status 00 | signal fff0 | snr 0000 | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 |
status 1f | signal fc20 | snr df58 | ber 00007ff8 | unc 00000010 |
FE_HAS_LOCK
status 1f | signal fc60 | snr df28 | ber 00007ff8 | unc 0000000f |
FE_HAS_LOCK
status 1f | signal fc00 | snr de9c | ber 00007ff8 | unc 0000000f |
FE_HAS_LOCK
status 1f | signal fc30 | snr defa | ber 00007ff8 | unc 0000000e |
FE_HAS_LOCK
status 1f | signal fc30 | snr dfb6 | ber 00007ff8 | unc 0000000d |
FE_HAS_LOCK
[...]

However, there is nothing else. dvbtraffic just hangs and produces no
output. Here is the output I get from dvbscan and test_sections:

[congo:/video/tmp] dvbscan -cvvv
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
WARNING: filter timeout pid 0x0011
WARNING: filter timeout pid 0x0000
dumping lists (0 services)
Done.

[congo:/usr/src/dvb-apps/test] test_sections 0
test_sections: using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
   PID 0x0000
   Filter 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00
0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00
     Mask 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00
0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00
[...hangs...]

Any attempt to record produces an empty file (of course).

It's possible that all my cable channels are encrypted but even then I
was expecting to get a little farther than that (at least get the
pids?). How does the output look for encrypted channnels?

Anyone can help me get this working? Any farther debugging I could do?

Thanks,

Bolek
