Hi,
I try to get an external USB DVB-S Box from Typhoon working with my linux
server.
The USB-Box is the one from
http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/DVB_USB#TwinhanDTV_StarBox_-_DVB-S
I'm using a vanilla linux 2.6.15.5 kernel.
Here is the output of dmesg:
---------- 8< ---------- 8< ---------- 8< ---------- 8< ----------
usb 1-4: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 2
dvb-usb: found a 'TwinhanDTV StarBox DVB-S USB2.0 (VP7021)' in cold state,

So far, everything looks good.
But I'm not able to record a dvb-stream with mplayer:
---------- 8< ---------- 8< ---------- 8< ---------- 8< ----------
dvb_tune Freq: 11953000
dvb_streaming_read, attempt N. 6 failed with errno 0 when reading 2048

Any hints?
regards,
David
