Thanks for the detailed instructions. Unfortunately the build had 
errors/warnings. It looks like I need to find a way to update my kernel 
(2.6.16-1.2111) to make it work (I'm running Mythdora so afaik it's not a 
trivial procedure).

So I guess it will be a while before I can try this:-(
