I also got the mt2060 write / read errors. However I think it at least in my
case is due to the hauppauge remote.

this repeats several times per day. When I simply remove the ir cable from 
the Nova-T-500 cards there seams to be no problem at all. Somehow the ir-eye
triggers from something and sends garbage that the driver cant handle and e
nds in a disconnect.

Thanks for a superb job in makeing the cards work. My hat off to the devs.
