Okay, I'll bite:

- why is the dmesg output for this uni-saa713x device falsely reporting
that it has two decoders ???  

- From the dmesg output, I'm not clear as to whether the enabling of two
decoders is actually being attempted or whether the output message is
just either (a) just poorly worded or (b) being falsely generated (see
my first remark immediately above) .... In any respect, just how is the
absence of an (oddly assumed) second decoder affecting the setup of the
analog TV-in support on the (actual sole) onboard  decoder ???

Can anyone shed light on these matters?
