[vdr] How to turn a DVD into a regular VDR recording.

You should rip the dvd to an ISO image, and use for example the
dvdswitch-plugin. I guess the dvdswitch-plugin uses the DVD plugin
itself for playing the iso-image.

This works perfectly for me.
