Description

The sharemarks project has the goal to transform cutting marks of VDR into a universal format and collect them on a central webserver where everyone can access them an use them on their own recordings.

Hardware requirements

  • Internet access

Software requirements

  • Perl
  • LWP::Simple (in libwww included)

Installation

Libwww-perl

cd $SOURCEDIR
libwww-perl-<VERSION>.tar.gz
cd libwww-perl-<VERSION>
perl Makefile.PL
make
make test
make install

Sharemarks

cd $SOURCEDIR
tar xvzf sharemarks-<VERSION>
cd sharemarks-<VERSION>
cp pts2marks marks2pts /usr/local/bin

Configuration

The configration file /etc/marks2pts.conf gets the following content

after_cutting=Yes
channel=/etc/vdr/channels.conf
debug=Yes
debug_log=/var/log/sharemarks.log
download_noad=Yes
epg=/etc/vdr/epg.data
fake_source=S19.2E
