As an aside to a very useful and well written article; I didn't know enough to get around the fact that I didn't have the get_dvb_firmware perl script or the .../Documentation/dvb folder. Initially drove me nuts but I found out where to download the script from and how to use it from here [1] there's a link on this page. Also it explains how to make it executable.
