I have just opened 8 boxes and 4 of them were model 70001 and 4 were model 70009. All of the boxes were labeled Model 294 SL-294-V2.0-UK. It could indicate that in a transition phase old card board boxes are used for the 70009 model. -- PeterLoje 19:08, August 9, 2007

Ugh! How maddening. Thanks for the info update Peter. --CityK 18:09, 10 August 2007 (CEST)

My stick is a 70009 device, and on the box is labeled "modelo 1157 SL-1157-V2.1-SP". --cescp 00:28, 29 August 2007 (CEST)

70009

I have just bought a 70009 and got it working tonight thanks to the linux tv tutorials tonight. The tuning is not perfect since only 6 TV channels are picked up, but I think it can definitely be argued that the sick works under opensuse 10.2. Cheers! --Domini1000 21:16 12 October 2007

Nova-T-CE

I just bought a brand new WinTV Nova-T USB-Stick in Germany. It seems to be a new model, because the hardware-information shows model 7070. The complete info string is:

info.udi string /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_2040_7070_4030943411_if0

I do not find any way to get it work, following all the hints available on the net. I am afraid that a new version of the firmware is needed. Even the Windows-files seem to be changed, because the file hcwusdtl.sys mentioned on http://www.wi-bw.tfh-wildau.de/~pboettch/home/index.php?site=dvb-usb-firmware is not on the installation-CD or on a windows system.

Is there anything, I could do to help getting this model to work? --Det345 28 November 2007

I have bought a "WinTV-NOVA-T-Stick" in Spain according to the box labels, USB ID 2040:7070, model number 1157 G, version SL-1157-V2.2-SP and includes a Remote control A415-HPG-WE-A. So not every 2040:7070 device is a Nova-T-CE.

Everything works with the new firmware http://www.wi-bw.tfh-wildau.de/~pboettch/home/linux-dvb-firmware/dvb-usb-dib0700-1.10.fw, the HG drivers http://linuxtv.org/hg/v4l-dvb and the manual patch http://linuxtv.org/pipermail/linux-dvb/2008-January/022742.html. The only issue is that a few remote control buttons send incorrect (e.g., Skip button sends Play) or unrecognized (e.g., Picture button shown below) event codes. The evtest tool output:

Input driver version is 1.0.0
Input device ID: bus 0x3 vendor 0x2040 product 0x7070 version 0x100

Nova-T-lite

The Nova-T-lite seems to be identical to "full" version, however a remote control is not included (the receiver is present).

I just bought two Nova-T-lite sticks in Germany. The model number is 308, the USB-Vendor/Product-ID is 2040:7070. I added 2040:7070 to the table below.
