A semiconductor developer, founded in 1990 in Edinburgh Scotland, that specialized in a range of CMOS image sensor systems designed for use with PCs.

The company was initially called VLSI Vision Ltd. but was later changed to Vision Group Plc[1], however, it was still commonly referred to afterwards by the VLSI Vision name.

Products of particular interest include the Cpia and Cpia2.

Vision Group was acquired in whole by STMicroelectronics in 1999 [2], whereby it became part of STMicroelectronics Imaging Division (VLSI Vision).
