Auvisio.jpg

An inexpensive analog card being resold under the Auvisio brand name. The Windows drivers that come with the card reveal that it is actually a LifeView FlyVideo model.

  • comes with windows drivers and WinDVR.
  • The card comes with IR remote control

Under Ubuntu Dapper 6.06 LTS, based on Kernel 2.6.16 ??, the saa7134 driver installs, but does not autodetect the card type. But expectedly, using modprobe saa7134 card=3 works. It now can find the correct tuner (it is #37, as far as I remember) with an i2c_scan=1. So

modprobe saa7134 card=3 i2c_scan=1

does it. In the beginning Xawtv didn't work with the card. Don't know why. In TVtime it worked perfectly. Until now I didn't get direct sound, just sound over the external sound cable.
