Note that according to the [http://www.conexant.com/servlets/DownloadServlet/PBR-200192-001.pdf?docid=193&revid=1 CX23880/1/2/3 product brief], this chipset can only decode up to 768x576 resolution (i.e. PAL 576p), and cannot decode HDTV formats such as 720p and 1080i. This is borne out by experience, with stuttering apparent on HD broadcasts viewed through this card.
