[linux-dvb] Re: Latest CVS driver loses A/V sync

I really don't know what is going on!

If i use the 20000817 driver nothing works
when i boot from zero.

I only got those funny error messages below:

>supported kernel: i2c-core.o: I2C adapter 50000: I2C level transfers
>not supported kernel: i2c-core.o: driver VES1820 DVB demodulator
>registered. kernel: i2c-core.o: I2C adapter 40004: I2C level transfers
>not supported kernel: i2c-core.o: I2C adapter 50000: I2C level
>transfers not supported kernel: i2c-core.o: driver L64781 DVB
>demodulator registered. kernel: i2c-core.o: I2C adapter 40004: I2C
>level transfers not supported Sep 11 19:28:21 msi last message
>repeated 2 times kernel: i2c-core.o: I2C adapter 50000: I2C level
>transfers not supported Sep 11 19:28:21 msi last message repeated 2
>times

I updated i2c from 2.56.0 to 2.6.1
but the "level transfer" stays with the 200008917

the 2000-08-03 do not cause this error

and now the wiered thing:

The asynchouslyness ("running free") between audio and video
seems to be much better, with the old driver!

When i swap the driver after killing vdr, the new one
ran. With A/V in sync....

Maybe someone isoem explain:

Why is the 2000-08-17 causing the i2c driver to complain:
i2c-core.o: I2C adapter 50000: I2C level transfers not supported

How can i get ridd off?

(VDR is not getting the driver up)

How can i determine the version of the driver/module that
actually has been loaded? (modinf showd only it's own
version (boa ;-)) or the eMail address of the author or some
"saynothing" "comment") (OK i could delete all older versions,
but there must be an easier way)

What has I2C to do with A/V-Sync???
