[linux-dvb] Re: ATSC?



We would need to know the tuner model number and take a look at the 
datasheets.  I wouldn't take Hauppauge's current word for it.  One of the 
big selling points of the WinTV-HD once upon a time was that the tuner they 
used could pick up at least one prospective modulation standard for digital 
cable (QAM64 sticks in my mind) as well as OTA ATSC.

There are other possibilities too.  Hauppauge swaps parts pretty regularly, 
so it wouldn't surprise me if they used more than one type of tuner in their 
WinTV-HD cards.  For the WinTV-D, I seem to remember that they even swapped 
PCI bridges (the Fusion 878A for the 879).
