Hi I have the same problem
My plan is the same,
I will develop now my own Case for it,so that I can put the CA-Module's away
from the DVB-C Board's ,
I've buy some connector and cable bei Conrad and will Test it.
IMHO I think 20 till 30 cm should be no Problem, but certainly I don't now it
I will Test it and can tell it to you when my Case is ready in 2-4 weeks

MFG
