[linux-dvb] Hauppauge WinTV Nova PCI

Hi,

I'm very novice on this list, and novice as well with DVB + linux.
I'd like to have information about this subject.
(Please tell me if I'm on the wrong list)

My Linux box :
  Graphical card:	Intel Chipset I815 (on motherboard)
  OS :		Linux Debian / Kernel 2.4.x
My card :
  Hauppauge WinTV Nova - PCI
  (my dish is pointed onto Astra 19.2 E)

I'd like to have some info about:
  -> driver :
	- which packages to download ?
	- documentation / howtos for install + config
  -> tools :
	- which packages ?
	- documentation / howtos for install + config

Of course, I'd like to be able to receive TV channels on my Linux box,
but my main objective is to be able to get signals values (quality, dB
level, BER, Viterbi, carrier, ...) at the card output.
I'm a little bit confused between all these terms and tools:
  Linux DVB, Linux DVB API, Video4Linux, etc...
Please, would someone give me some url to read at first, and which tools
I have to install as a starting point ?
