[linux-dvb] newbie Question re dvbs internet

I am struggling with a Hauppauge DVB-S card and RH 7.3. Any help would be appreciated.

I am trying to come to terms with what I need to get Internet access via IHUG in Australia.

The various HOWTOS and tutorials make references to subjects like 'network activator' script and dvbd. Most links to either of these are broken or missing. I gather for the later drive ?I don't need dvdb? I can't find any program called

Could someone give me some guidance as to what is actually needed? Do I need dvbd? Do I need the network activator script? I can't find a device called dvb* in /dev.

The system works when booted with win98. I am comfortable with the sat configurations, MAC, PID and fixed IP.

For the record the module load reports
