[linux-dvb] SL DVB-T PCI B2T1110 Rev. 1.1 ongoing problems

Hello @all and thx for paying attention to this message in a bottle,

I've been trying to get this card to work for quite a long time now,
but none of the results from the list-search seemed to help me out with
the following problems, so i would greatly appreciate any kind of help
(yes, willing and hopefully able to rtfm what may come - not absolutely
sure about the second item ;-) )

The card is one of the newer Lorenzen budget (aka TT?) models with an
SAA7146 and TDA10045H. From what i undertstand so far, it should be
possible to get it to work under Linux (output streamed to xine or
mplayer) - is this right?

The System is RH9 with a stock 2.4.22 kernel.

First installed DVB:

latest DVB from CVS, cd DVB, make - all fine, cd driver, make insmod -
looks good to me till:

make[1]: Verlassen des Verzeichnisses Verzeichnis
»/usr/local/src/DVB/driver/av7110«
make[1]: Wechsel in das Verzeichnis Verzeichnis
»/usr/local/src/DVB/driver/b2c2«
insmod skystar2.o;
skystar2.o: init_module: No such device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters,
including invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg
make[1]: [insmod] Fehler 1 (ignoriert)
make[1]: Verlassen des Verzeichnisses Verzeichnis
»/usr/local/src/DVB/driver/b2c2«

output from dmesg:

Linux video capture interface: v1.00
DVB: registering new adapter (TT-Budget/WinTV-NOVA-T PCI).
PCI: Enabling device 02:0c.0 (0004 -> 0006)

Technisat SkyStar2 driver loading

- ok so far?

Installing dvbtune:

latest dvbtune from CVS, libxml2 installed following README, make

gcc -Wall -I /usr/include/libxml2 -I ../DVB/include -DNEWSTRUCT -c -o
tune.o tune.c
In file included from tune.h:25,
                 from tune.c:40:

dvb_defaults.h
dvb_defaults.h:84:2: warning: #warning defaulting to UK
dvb_defaults.h:85:2: warning: #warning Ignore this if using Satellite or
Cable
tune.c: In function `check_status':
tune.c:194: warning: suggest parentheses around assignment used as truth
value
tune.c:172: warning: unused variable `i'
tune.c:172: warning: unused variable `res'
gcc -Wall -I /usr/include/libxml2 -I ../DVB/include -DNEWSTRUCT
dvbtune.c tune.o -o dvbtune
In file included from tune.h:25,
                 from dvbtune.c:67:
dvb_defaults.h:83:2: warning: #warning No DVB-T country defined in
dvb_defaults.h
dvb_defaults.h:84:2: warning: #warning defaulting to UK
dvb_defaults.h:85:2: warning: #warning Ignore this if using Satellite or
Cable

>From this point on feel totally unsure about how to deal with what it is
telling me. My area is Germany/Berlin....

I would greatly appreciate any hint what went wrong or how to configure
dvbtune / dvbstream properly.

Simply runnin dvbtune delivers:

FD 4: fd_dvr DEMUX DEVICE: : No such file or directory

regards

Michael
