[linux-dvb] Re: Leadtek LR6650 (Conexant) scan / lock problems

I have this card, and I'm not able to lock onto C5 mux, despite it consistently being the strongest signal on my DEC 2000-t. Gavin's comments about signal strength make sense to me!

I can, however tune no problem to ITV mux which is also QAM64. I'm on Craigkelly transmitter, and the DEC box rarely show problems.

I did try (briefly) the Black Gold app, which did manage to scan the C5 mux, but didn't show a picture on any channel.

Can someone take a couple of minutes to explain what the signal, snr, ber and unc stats mean; how are they calculated? Yes I know I could look at the code to find out...

Andrew
